Seasonal Houseman at Waverley Country Club – Portland, Oregon

Portland’s only riverfront country club with an unrivaled culture of year-round golf and spirited experiences that bring active families and friends closer together. Waverley Country Club is currently seeking Houseman to join us this summer season.

We are looking for a hardworking, experienced self-starter to join our team. This seasonal position is perfect for applicants looking for a fun and fast-paced seasonal position starting in Mid-April working through the end of September. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends and willing to work flexible hours.

What you will do

• To follow setup maps based on information provided in the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• To set all tables, chairs, and furniture according to setup map.
• To maintain appearance of storage areas (south storage, basement storage, linen room, chafer room, etc.).
• Maintain clean and clutter-free hallways.
• Responsible for setup of all hospitality stations.
• Acknowledge members/guests by name when possible.
• Frequently lift and move approximately 100 pounds, including setting and storing in overhead areas.

• Must be friendly, willing to work in a team environment.
• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Must pass company pre-employment background check.
• Ability to lift upwards of 100 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach regularly.
• Being a houseman is physical work and this job also requires the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.
