This leadership role is responsible for shaping and driving the enterprise applications strategy across a complex, global organization, with a strong focus on ERP transformation and SAP environments. The position plays a critical part in enabling scalable, standardized, and cost-effective digital operations across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and shared services. You will lead large-scale modernization programs, ensuring both successful delivery and long-term operational stability after go-live. Acting as a key partner to business and IT leadership, you will translate strategic goals into robust application roadmaps and measurable business outcomes. The role combines strategic architecture ownership with hands-on delivery oversight, vendor management, and operational excellence. It is a highly influential position requiring strong leadership in a matrixed, global environment where technology and business transformation intersect.
- Lead end-to-end ERP transformation programs, including SAP S/4HANA implementations, global rollouts, upgrades, and post go-live stabilization efforts.
- Define and execute enterprise application strategy and roadmaps aligned with business priorities, architecture standards, and global IT direction.
- Oversee process harmonization, data migration, system integration, testing strategy, and cutover planning across major transformation initiatives.
- Drive business process re-engineering and standardization to maximize value from ERP and enterprise application investments.
- Ensure application landscape simplification by reducing technical debt, eliminating redundancies, and improving long-term scalability.
- Establish governance frameworks for scope, risk, financial performance, SLAs, KPIs, and service delivery metrics.
- Lead application operations ensuring high availability, performance, security compliance, and continuous service improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships, including system integrators and managed service providers, as well as budgets and TCO optimization.
- Partner with business leaders to define service requirements, demand management processes, and value-driven IT delivery models.
- Identify and execute opportunities for automation, AI adoption, and digital optimization within enterprise applications.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise applications, ERP leadership, or IT transformation roles within complex global environments.
- Strong expertise in large-scale ERP programs, particularly SAP S/4HANA implementations and enterprise system modernization.
- Deep knowledge of business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and shared services environments.
- Experience managing enterprise application landscapes, enterprise architecture principles, and integration strategies.
- Proven ability to lead vendor ecosystems, including system integrators, AMS providers, and offshore delivery teams.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost management, and ROI-driven decision-making.
- Experience supporting M&A or divestiture-related system integration is highly valued.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills in matrixed organizations.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Competitive salary range: $200,000 – $250,000 annually, based on experience and location.
