- Manage end-to-end custody operations including trade settlement, asset safekeeping, transfers, and reconciliation across multiple financial instruments.
- Oversee daily operational workflows ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and market requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with central depositories, exchanges, custodian banks, and clearing entities to ensure smooth settlement processes.
- Handle corporate actions processing including dividends, stock splits, rights issues, mergers, and related distributions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable capital market regulations, including client asset protection and segregation requirements.
- Monitor and resolve settlement breaks, discrepancies, and reconciliation issues across custody systems.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve, automate, and scale custody operations workflows.
- Support regulatory audits, inspections, and reporting requirements in coordination with relevant authorities.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve operational procedures and control frameworks.
- Lead and mentor custody operations team members, ensuring high performance and operational discipline.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to reduce operational risk and increase scalability.
- Contribute to the evolution of custody infrastructure in line with market developments and regulatory changes.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in custody operations, securities clearing, or brokerage operations within regulated financial markets.
- Strong understanding of capital markets post-trade processes including settlement cycles, reconciliation, and asset servicing.
- Solid knowledge of financial instruments such as equities, ETFs, bonds, Sukuk, and other listed products.
- Experience working within regulated environments and strong familiarity with compliance frameworks and client asset protection rules.
- Proven ability to manage reconciliation processes and resolve complex operational breaks.
- Strong understanding of market infrastructure, custodians, and exchange-related settlement systems.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to work across technical and operational stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with a risk-conscious and control-oriented mindset.
- Experience building or improving operational processes in high-volume or regulated environments.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop small to mid-sized operational teams.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with engineering, product, and compliance teams.
- Experience in fintech, brokerage, or capital markets infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automation tools, APIs, or technology-driven operational transformation is a plus.
