This role is a senior leadership position within corporate accounting, responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting across a complex, enterprise-wide organization. You will oversee key accounting functions including expenses, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and capital-related accounting activities. Acting as both a technical expert and people leader, you will drive consistency in GAAP and statutory reporting while strengthening internal controls and scalable processes. The position requires close collaboration with finance, tax, treasury, HR, and audit teams to support strategic financial decisions. You will also lead and develop accounting teams, ensuring high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Lead corporate accounting operations across expense accounting, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany activity, and capital transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and statutory accounting standards across legal entities and support regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
- Manage accounting for employee compensation, benefits, and equity programs, ensuring accurate payroll-related accruals and expense recognition.
- Supervise intercompany accounting activities, including eliminations, settlements, and reconciliation of balances across entities.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and addressing audit requests related to key accounting areas.
- Lead and develop accounting teams while driving process improvements, standardization, and operational efficiency across functions.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or enterprise-level accounting environments.
- Strong expertise in GAAP, statutory accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams in a complex organization.
- Experience with corporate accounting areas such as expense accounting, intercompany transactions, capital accounting, and employee compensation is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with pension, equity compensation, and lease accounting is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance, HR, tax, treasury, and audit functions.
- Experience with financial systems and general ledger platforms.
