This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, program delivery, and enterprise transformation, leading complex initiatives that strengthen risk, compliance, and security capabilities across the organization. You will manage end-to-end execution of cybersecurity programs, ensuring alignment across interdependent projects, stakeholders, and technical teams. The position requires strong governance discipline, as well as the ability to translate cybersecurity and compliance requirements into structured delivery plans. You will collaborate closely with security leaders, analysts, and cross-functional partners to ensure transparency, control, and successful outcomes. This is a highly visible role where you will actively track risks, resolve blockers, and maintain executive-level reporting. It is best suited for a delivery-driven project leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving technology environments.
In this role, you will lead the execution and governance of cybersecurity programs while ensuring alignment, transparency, and delivery excellence across multiple workstreams:
- Manage full project lifecycle execution, including scope, schedule, resources, financials, and governance.
- Oversee risk, issue, dependency, and change management across cybersecurity and compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and ensure alignment across interdependent programs and teams.
- Track and report project progress, providing clear and timely updates to senior leadership.
- Facilitate project meetings, drive accountability, and ensure timely escalation of blockers.
- Support financial tracking, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis in collaboration with finance teams.
- Manage stakeholder communications, change management, and business adoption activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
This role requires deep project management expertise combined with experience in cybersecurity, risk, and compliance environments:
- 8+ years of project management experience, including large-scale, complex initiatives.
- Strong background in cybersecurity, risk, compliance, controls, or audit-related projects.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional delivery in highly matrixed environments.
- Experience with project governance, financial tracking, and executive reporting.
- Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and competing priorities in real time.
- Experience with PPM tools, backlog management, and project prioritization methods.
- Strong analytical mindset with understanding of financial concepts (ROI, NPV, cost analysis).
- Preferred: Agile certification (CSM/PSM), PMP or PRINCE2, biotech or high-growth environment exposure.
- Competitive hourly rate ($81–$88/hr).
- Remote-based role with East Coast working hours.
