About the role
The role provides day-to-day EHS support to the line organisation while playing an important part in developing structured EHS ways of working. This includes supporting the development and continuous improvement of EHS processes, operating models and sustainability-related practices that enable the organisation to meet its EHS and sustainability responsibilities.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Supporting the line organization in EHS questions, risk assessments, incident investigations and problem-solving by providing EHS technical, legal and process expertise
- Maintain and develop our ISO certified 14000 and 45000 S management systems together with EHS manager and rest of the organization
- Facilitating and participating in risk assessments to ensure legal and other requirements are considered, observations are reflected in risk assessments and risk assessments are completed and kept up to date
- Facilitating and participating in incident and EHS event investigations
- Steering and follow up handling EHS events through structured approach
- Conducting and coordinating EHS inspections and audits in cooperation with EHS Manager
- Analysing EHS and sustainability data
- Collecting EHS data in Finland and consolidating data for Marioff level EHS reporting
- Coordinating the collection of data for sustainability reporting in accordance with processes.
- Conducting EHS and sustainability related, inspections and audits
- Facilitating and organize EHS trainings
To be successful in this role you will need:
- 3+ years of professional EHS experience, preferably from an industrial environment/company
- Environmental, Health and Safety hazard identification and risk assessment knowledge & abilities
- Knowledge on EHS management systems (ISO 45001, 14001) and regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or manufacturing / safety or equivalent
- Fluent Finnish and English language knowledge, both spoken and written
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Ability to train and influence employees
Considered as an advantage:
- Other European language knowledge: German, Italian, French, Spanish, Polish
- EHS experience from a manufacturing/production facility
