As a Staff Pediatrician, you will be a valued member of the medical staff at Legacy Clinics or Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, offer consultation to advanced practice providers, and contribute to teaching and administrative efforts that support clinical excellence. Responsibilities
Medical care of pediatric patients:
- Provides direct medical care in a multidisciplinary model of care for pediatric patients/members of the Legacy Clinics or Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital.
- Collaborates and consults with physicians, mid-level providers, clinical resource coordinators and other staff in developing care management strategies and plans.
Teaching, supervision and consultation:
- Provides consultative and medical support for the Legacy Clinics Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, residents and medical students as needed.
- May serve as faculty preceptor for Pediatric, Family Practice and other resident physicians in the clinic setting.
- May participate regularly in the teaching and supervision of medical students and residents.
Program administration:
- Collaborates with Medical Director, Administration, other physicians and staff in program development, CQI and operational problem solving.
- Attends and participates actively in meetings, performance evaluations and other activities related to the pediatric programs of the Legacy Clinics or Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital.
Qualifications
Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical school or the equivalent.
