Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for management and coordination of all new construction and overhaul work in the shipyard in their cognizant area. This includes nuclear and non-nuclear work associated with submarine construction and overhaul.
Must be willing and available to work first, second, or third shifts where needed and extended hours in support of the ship’s schedule. The selected individual must be able to coordinate tasks involving multiple personnel from various organizations at all levels. Must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks dictate.
The Ship Superintendent will be required to interface with all trades, test departments, inspection, engineering, RadCon, SupShip, Ship's Force, RPCO and NRRO. Responsible for administration of documents associated with non-nuclear work, such as TIRs, Ripouts, and ERs. They must be able to manage the safety, quality, cost, schedule and continuous improvement of the assigned project. Individual must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with subordinates and supervisors.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or GED
- 4+ years of EB experience in manufacturing/operations in a field of project management, construction, military, planning, construction engineering field, or shipyard trade - OR - 5+ years of outside experience in manufacturing/operations in a field of project management, construction, military, planning, construction engineering field or shipyard trade
- Internal salary exempt employees must have achieved a senior level title or higher
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Military leadership, Operations management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
