Our department, Well@Westminster, is looking for two Home Service Workers that will offer companionship to our residents while fostering a supportive and caring environment. Our primary goal is to enable our residents to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes while providing assistance with general daily needs such as meals, chores, and medication reminders. This role requires a flexible schedule, which may include weekends. Hours will vary between 20-59 hours per pay period, with shifts typically scheduled between 7am and 5pm based on operational and departmental needs.

The wage scale for this position is $17.51 to $19.51 per hour and is a union eligible position. Westminster offers a competitive wage scale with an annual increase. Apply for now immediate consideration!

Job Duties:

• Observation and Reporting: Observe the client's functioning and promptly report any changes or concerns to their supervisor, employer, or a person designated by the client.
• Household Chores: Assist with household chores, including cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
• Support Outside Appointments: Aid in completing activities such as shopping and accompanying clients to appointments outside of the home.
• Companionship: Offer companionship to clients, fostering a supportive and caring environment.
• Documentation: Accurately complete appropriate records, documenting the services provided to clients.
• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care, which may include dressing, bathing, grooming, and other non-medical personal tasks.
• Complete 10 hours of on-the-job training.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Current CPR certification is required. One year of experience working with geriatric people preferred.
