Regional Operations Manager Guaranteed Truck Service Opportunity Summary:
The W. W. Williams Company is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and execution focused Regional Operations Manager to implement operations programs and best practices by partnering with local and divisional management to ensure support for Guaranteed Truck Service business units. It will be your responsibility to ensure superior account management including high quality, on-time service, and customer satisfaction, while achieving business and financial goals. Plan and direct all team Service Operations activities for assigned location(s), to exceed company expectations. Conduct financial analysis including forecasting, estimating, monitoring, and recovery planning. This position reports to the Vice President of Guaranteed Truck Service.
Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of multi-unit or regional leadership experience in mobile fleet maintenance, on-site fleet service or heavy-duty commercial truck service.
- Experience partnering with customer representatives and internal operational personnel to develop and demonstrate solutions to resolve customer problems and win business.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-unit P&L, drive revenue growth, and scale operations.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, DOT inspection compliance and corrective repair operations for Class 4-8 diesel fleets.
- Demonstrated ability to coach branch managers, field supervisors and technicians to performance without assuming direct operational control.
- Track record supporting or executing new service location launches, including ramp-to-productivity planning and technician onboarding.
- Familiarity with CRM, FSM, and analytics platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Karmak)
- Bachelors degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel regionally (up to 40%).
Core Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities within an assigned region, including supporting PM agreement acquisition, influencing fleet decision-makers and partnering with the sales organization to accelerate account conversion and revenue growth.
- Contributes knowledge of Guaranteed Truck Service activities to help formulate Branchs business forecast and annual marketing plan, maintaining a good feedback loop to Branch personnel to allow for adjustments as required.
- Review branch operating results monthly against plan and prior year. Lead structured performance conversations with branch leadership focused on variance diagnosis and corrective action.
- Plans for and enforces the adherence to company policy by personnel in the Department to assure compliance with internal and external safety, environmental and fiscal standards, especially as related to regulations and training specific to the area of power generation.
- Participates in establishing long-range company goals, objectives and/or strategies, and communicates them to the teams for branch integration.
- Analyzes activities, costs, operations, and/or forecast data to determine departments progress toward corporate initiatives.
- Recommends and implements corrective action or procedural changes based on findings of above analyses. Monitors these changes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Reviews and approves equipment purchases (specs/costs/timeframes), negotiates with local providers of services and/or repairs to keep equipment expenses within budgets.
- Hire, promote and mentor employees, process performance reviews, assign and evaluate work, set pay, handle disciplinary actions up to and including terminations, following established delegation of authority guidelines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Salesforce contract management systems.
