Position Overview:
We are looking for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in Mechanical / Production Engineering to join our manufacturing team.
This role will provide hands-on exposure to fabrication, production planning, welding processes, and quality compliance in a heavy engineering environment. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers and shop floor teams to support execution of manufacturing activities.
Production & Shop Floor Support:- Assist in planning and monitoring fabrication activities for pressure vessels, skids, and static equipment.
- Interpret basic engineering and fabrication drawings (GA drawings, welding details, etc.).
- Support production scheduling and tracking of daily activities.
- Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Gain hands-on understanding of fabrication processes such as cutting, fit-up, welding, and assembly.
- Support supervision of fabrication activities under guidance of senior engineers.
- Ensure adherence to approved welding procedures (WPS) and quality requirements.
- Assist in handling materials such as carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Work with QA/QC team during inspections (fit-up, welding, NDT, hydrotest, etc.).
- Maintain basic production and inspection documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and shop floor discipline.
- Develop understanding of codes and standards such as ASME Section VIII.
- Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
- Support senior engineers in identifying process improvements.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings (basic level).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn and work on shop floor.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel / MS Office.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering (preferred).
- Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of experience in manufacturing/fabrication.
