Unit Secretary - ED

Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) for 36 hours/week. Weekend and holiday requirements
Here's What You Need
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required.
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
What You Will Do
• Delivers high-quality support to physicians, staff, patients, and all customers while demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.
• Provides patient-centered interactions, advocates for patient needs, and takes action to reduce or eliminate risks.
• Collaborates effectively with nursing and interdisciplinary teams, using the Professional Practice Model to guide partnership with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Adapts to changes in workload, schedule, and unit needs while maintaining essential Unit Secretary skills and meeting departmental communication expectations.
• Supports team cohesion by welcoming new employees, assisting with orientation, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships.
• Ensures accurate documentation, complies with hospital and regulatory requirements, and follows personnel policies such as attendance, dress code, and ID badge use.
• Participates in identifying inefficient or costly processes, contributes to department and hospital improvement initiatives, and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals.
