Senior Manager, Data & AI Strategy

This senior-level role sits at the intersection of data strategy, artificial intelligence, and legal industry transformation, supporting leading law firms in modernizing how they manage and leverage data. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through enterprise-wide data architecture, governance, and AI readiness initiatives. The role combines strategic consulting with hands-on solution design, enabling better operational insights and more intelligent decision-making. You will lead client engagements, shape data-driven transformation roadmaps, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions. In addition to client impact, you will contribute to thought leadership and help advance innovative data and AI offerings in the legal ecosystem. This is a high-visibility role with strong influence on both client success and internal capability building.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead client engagements focused on data strategy, AI readiness, governance, and enterprise data modernization for legal and professional services organizations
  • Design and guide enterprise data solutions covering people, organizations, clients, and matter-related data domains
  • Translate complex data and AI concepts into clear recommendations for both technical and executive audiences
  • Support the development and implementation of data platforms such as data catalogs, MDM systems, data lakes, data warehouses, and BI tools
  • Contribute to legal AI enablement initiatives through structured data programs and analytics-driven solution design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to build integrated, scalable client solutions
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives and the development of new methodologies and standards
  • Manage project delivery within scope, timeline, and resource constraints
  • Present strategic insights and solutions in executive meetings, client workshops, and industry forums
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting professional development and team growth
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications in data, technology, or business disciplines preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in legal or professional services environments with strong client-facing responsibilities
  • Proven expertise in enterprise data strategy, governance, and data management frameworks
  • Strong understanding of how law firms or corporate legal departments use data for operational and strategic decision-making
  • Experience working with data platforms, analytics tools, and AI-enabled solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and deliver strategic client outcomes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and explain complex concepts clearly
  • Experience improving processes, systems, or operational models within structured environments
  • Ability to manage small to mid-sized teams, including performance management and talent development
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to operate in multidisciplinary environments
