Project Electrical Enginee

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Project Electrical Engineer in United States.

This role is part of a multidisciplinary engineering environment focused on designing and delivering complex building systems across healthcare, education, commercial, and science-driven projects. You will contribute to both new construction and renovation efforts, developing electrical system designs that support safe, efficient, and high-performing built environments. Working closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders, you will help translate design intent into fully coordinated technical solutions. The position combines hands-on engineering design with project collaboration, site engagement, and quality assurance responsibilities. It is well-suited for an experienced electrical engineer who thrives in a client-facing, detail-oriented, and technically challenging environment with meaningful real-world impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and design electrical engineering systems for building construction projects, including lighting, power distribution, communications, signaling, and telecommunication systems
  • Participate in project planning sessions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define design goals and technical approaches
  • Serve as project engineer or contribute in a leadership capacity on engineering efforts, including coordination meetings and technical decision-making
  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and electrical equipment selections, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Perform quality control reviews of engineering documentation and support continuous improvement in design accuracy and coordination
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, evaluate change orders, and support construction-phase services including site visits and progress monitoring
  • Contribute to value engineering discussions and recommend process or design improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design for building systems or related project-based engineering work
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States is required
  • Strong expertise in electrical building systems design, with the ability to work independently across all major electrical disciplines
  • Proficiency with engineering design tools such as Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools
  • Solid understanding of life safety codes and building system standards
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to technical detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
