Lead Product Designer - Remote
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Product Designer. In this impactful role, you will be integral to shaping product experiences that enhance design quality and consistency across multiple teams. Your work will focus on understanding customer needs while guiding design strategy, ultimately improving health outcomes for a wide audience. As a key player and mentor in our design team, you will influence how we approach product discovery and ensure high-quality deliveries that meet user and business needs.
Accountabilities- Lead Design Within Product Areas: Own design outcomes for product area(s), driving work from continuous discovery through delivery and iteration.
- Shape Product Direction: Partner in the product triad to define problems, frame opportunities, and influence roadmap decisions.
- Drive Continuous Product Discovery: Ensure ongoing discovery practices are embedded in team workflows.
- Own Design Workflow in Figma: Establish best practices for design systems usage and developer handoff.
- Ensure High-Quality Execution: Partner closely with engineering to ensure deliverables meet design intent.
- Elevate Design Craft: Maintain high standards for interaction design, visual design, and usability.
- Make and Communicate Trade-offs: Articulate design decisions, balancing user needs and technical constraints.
- Measure and Drive Outcomes: Define success metrics in partnership with product and data teams.
- Mentor and Develop Designers: Provide coaching to elevate team performance and design capability.
- Scale Systems and Standards: Drive adoption of design systems across teams.
- Leverage AI Tools: Incorporate AI tools into design processes to boost efficiency.
- Influence Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with various teams to ensure cohesive solutions.
- Improve Design Operations: Identify and implement improvements to team processes and workflows.
- 6+ years of experience in product design, UX, or related field with a strong portfolio.
- Proven ability to lead design within cross-functional teams and influence product direction.
- Deep experience in continuous discovery practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and related workflows.
- Experience in Design QA and closely partnering with engineering.
- Experience using or integrating AI tools into design workflows.
- Strong skills in product design strategy and trade-offs.
- Ability to define and measure success using qualitative and quantitative signals.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to influence stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies and their impact.
