Role Summary

The Production Supervisor is accountable for the safety, quality and productivity for the production of access matts in the matt fabrication shop. Offering hands-on support to the production team when required the Production Supervisor leads the team to continuously improve performance while training and implementing LEAN operating principles.

Responsibilities

· Establish and grow a culture where safety is a core value and all team members are engaged and accountable in injury and loss prevention which includes adherence to reporting processes.

· Lead team in the execution of the production schedule in an effective manner.

· Prepare inventory reports to keep Director of Operations, Access Solutions informed of deviations from plan and engages appropriate resources in problem resolution.

· Engage all members of the team in continuous improvement and drive world-class results.

· Inspire team members to be engaged and motivated, by communicating effectively, supporting stake-holders’ needs, and recognizing celebrating individual and team achievements.

· Ensure all employees wear the required PPE to safely perform job tasks to completion

· Ensure all machines and equipment are in safe operating condition & safe material handling techniques are being used.

· Ensure material handling equipment is inspected daily prior to use & all materials are stored correctly and safely.

· Provide hands-on training to employees.

· Conduct department tailgate meetings.

· Monitor and approve employee time off requests and employee attendance

Qualifications

· Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a production plant environment

· An understanding of products and process knowledge is an asset

· Excellent communications skills, verbal and written

· Self-starter, ability to work under minimal to no supervision

· Ability to motivate and encourage employee performance

· Problem solver and trouble shooting skills

· Positive and supportive attitude

· Ability to deal with a diverse workforce along with demonstration of valuing teamwork.

· Value meeting the expectations and requirements of internal customers
