About This Position

Description:

Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Aide to join our team. In this role, you will assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists with clinical and administrative tasks. The SLP Aide is also responsible for greetings patients, rooming patients, completing chart documentation, cleaning exam rooms/instruments/scopes, answering phones and returning patient calls in a timely manner.

Work Environmental: Medical office environment. Mondays-Fridays | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with clinic schedule changes by contacting all patients on schedule and rescheduling for future appointments.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for voice evaluation and voice therapy.
  • Answer SLP portal messages/patients calls regarding testing or general voice questions.
  • Prepare patients for telehealth visits.
  • Assist on physician procedure days by processing side channel scope and obtaining patient consents prior to procedure.
Requirements:

Skills/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Maintain CPR certification.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office environment desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Physicians and all co-workers.
  • Adheres to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines.
  • Must be aware of and comply with all OSHA standards and guidelines.
