Supervisor, Physical Therapist at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides supervision to the therapists and therapist assistants on a given shift. Ensures that therapy is accurately and efficiently accomplished, that the department has sufficient equipment and supplies and that all staff is properly trained. Provides care to any age group from neonatal to geriatric as evidenced by the skill/competency check-offs. Complies with and enforces departmental and University Health policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy. Two years of experience providing acute care therapy in a hospital system. Three years of supervisory experience in a 500 plus bed facility is preferred.

LICENSURE

Must have and maintain current licensure as a Physical Therapist, as issued by specific governing boards, agencies or organizations. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
