Manager, Health Information Management at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare – Pomona, California

The Health Information Management (HIM) Manager oversees the daily operations of the HIM Department, including medical record processing, chart completion, release of information, transcription, coding workflows, and data integrity. This role manages the transition from paper to electronic records, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and develops policies and procedures to support efficient and accurate HIM operations. The HIM Manager provides leadership to staff, monitors performance, and offers backup support across all HIM functions as needed. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the HIM Director.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment. The HIM Manager must communicate effectively with staff, providers, and external partners while maintaining strict confidentiality. Knowledge of TJC, Title 22, HCAI, and HIPAA regulations is essential, along with proficiency in HIM systems (Meditech Expanse and 3M preferred) and strong Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and tracking departmental metrics are required. The role requires the ability to develop reports, maintain policies, and apply current HIM practices, including ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS coding knowledge.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in Health Information Management

• Minimum 5 years of experience with prepping, scanning, and quality control of electronic medical records
