About This Position

Description:

Fervo is working to build the most cost-effective, repeatable geothermal power plants in the world. Delivering on this mission requires disciplined execution across engineering, procurement, and construction — with strong project controls to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. As Fervo scales a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects, high-quality scheduling and forecasting are critical to maintaining execution velocity while managing risk.

The Senior Project Scheduler will support a portfolio of renewable energy projects by developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules. This role will partner closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, EPC contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure schedule integrity, identify risks early, and drive alignment across teams. This position is suited for an experienced project controls professional who can operate independently, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and bring structure and rigor to complex project environments.

Success in this position means delivering accurate, reliable schedules that drive decision-making, proactively identifying risks before they impact execution, and enabling project teams to deliver on time and on budget.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

Project Scheduling & Planning

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 (or similar software packages), covering engineering, procurement, and construction activities
  • Define schedule logic, sequencing, and milestones aligned with project execution strategies
  • Establish and implement scheduling standards and best practices across projects
  • Incorporate procurement timelines and equipment lead times into project plans

Schedule Analysis & Controls

  • Perform critical path analysis, resource loading, and schedule risk assessments
  • Review and validate contractor schedules and progress updates
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, and pinch points; recommend mitigation strategies
  • Track and manage impacts from change orders and scope adjustments

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to develop and maintain schedules
  • Lead schedule review meetings and communicate status, risks, and changes to stakeholders
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment
  • Drive accountability across stakeholders for schedule inputs and updates

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain integrity of schedule data across project systems and ensure consistency of key metrics
  • Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate project performance
  • Actively evaluate and adopt emerging tools, including AI-assisted scheduling, automation, and data analytics capabilities, to improve schedule quality, efficiency, and reporting across the portfolio and multiple stakeholders
  • Support forecasting and project controls activities, including earned value and progress tracking
  • Capture lessons learned and improve tools, templates, and processes across the portfolio

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of experience developing and managing integrated project schedules in large-scale construction, infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects
  • Demonstrated experience owning scheduling across full project lifecycles (development through construction and commissioning)
  • Deep expertise in Primavera P6 (or equivalent software packages), including critical path analysis, resource loading, cost loading, and earned value management
  • Strong project controls foundation, including forecasting, performance tracking, and variance analysis
  • Proven ability to identify schedule risks early and drive mitigation strategies across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience interfacing directly with EPC contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to validate schedules and progress
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong ability to synthesize complex datasets into clear insights and reporting
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes in fast-paced, complex environments.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Experience in power generation, geothermal, oil & gas, or other heavy infrastructure sectors
  • Experience managing portfolio-level schedules across multiple concurrent projects
  • Proficiency with Power BI or other data visualization and reporting tools
  • Demonstrated curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools, automation, or data workflows, with a willingness to adopt and champion new approaches to project controls
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling tools and ability to interpret engineering models and drawings
  • Experience integrating scheduling tools with ERP or project management systems
  • Experience establishing or improving scheduling standards, tools, and processes within a growing organization
