Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team. They will be provided direction from the Assembly Lead hand on the shop floor. We are looking for candidates who are interested in working in a production environment where they will have the opportunity to contribute, grow, and prosper. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in assembly operations, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions
Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and standards
Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues to ensure smooth production flow
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and product quality
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree is a plus
Apprentice Millwright/Pipe Fitter/Heavy Duty Mechanics encouraged to apply
Must have experience reading/interpreting shop drawings
Experience with stainless fittings (pipe/compression, etc.) would be an asset
Forklift Certification would be an asset
Related training, such as First Aid Level 1, would be an asset
Proven experience in manufacturing assembly, preferably in a similar industry
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Basic computer skills and familiarity with manufacturing software are a plus
Able to dynamically move from task to task
Experience working at an OEM is considered an asset.
Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly evolving and growing environment
Must have Canadian citizenship or a Canadian work visa
