JOB SUMMARY:
The Information System (IS) Trainer will be responsible for training users, developing and maintaining training curriculum, and developing effective delivery methods.
Essential Job Functions- Will Provide hands-on instruction to users for HIT applications including, EPIC EHR and EPM, in the classroom and clinical environments
- Develops designs and delivers training courses and curriculum for HIT applications and related systems.
- Implements and maintains end-user training and certification programs.
- Work with agency staff to identify HIT training and educational needs
- Provide secondary software application support to the end-user base.
- Assist with Quality Improvement project implementations with data gathering, reporting, and/or analysis.
- Assist agency with project development and testing of systems.
- Maintain a consistent and dedicated effort to learning updates and enhancements of new products and associated applications.
- Perform software testing and documentation for enhancement updates
- Participates in and assists with documentation, processes, and reporting related to AHS' Patient-Centered Health Home recognition initiatives
- Perform other HIT project-related duties.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a professional healthcare setting.
- Experience querying data and/or creating reports desirable but not required.
- Obtain EPIC EHR and EPM certifications within one year of the hired date
