Essential Functions
- Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.
- Participates in final system integration and validation to identify functional problems.
- Defines internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.
- Creates, documents, and analyzes the most complex test cases and provides feedback and recommendations for product or design changes.
- Ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards.
- Identifies chronic or systemic problems in testing and develops and implements improvements to process.
- May coordinate with vendors or suppliers to modify or develop testing for components or other parts.
- Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience
- Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Conformance testing. Product testing. Test engineering. Quality standard development. Bug/defect identification. Industry standards. Test documentation. Bug tracking software. Software testing tools. Oral and written communication skills. Critical thinking. Analytical thinking.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- This position is Safety-Sensitive.
