Schedule: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 90 schedule rotation, weekend rotation, 3 on calls per month

SUMMARY:

As a Security Officer, you patrol and protect the facility, grounds, and building to preserve the peace and make employees feel safe and secure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Investigation & Safety - Investigate cases of detected or reported criminal and safety matters; identify and report real or potential hazards in the environment; transfer and discharge patients as requested.

• Parking Management - Monitor and control hospital employee and visitor parking areas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma OR GED
• One year of guard or public safety experience required
• NYS Security Guard Act License (OR) Registered as a Police or Peace Officer in NYS
• Valid NYS Driver’s license.
• CPR certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• The Preventing Managing Crisis Situation (PMCS) certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

• Ability to think quickly and make decisive judgments.
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $23.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
