Staff Accountant II

Position Highlights:

Assists in the preparation/maintenance of the General Ledger system to support accurate and timely financial data flows through the financial statement process. Performs research and analysis of financial statement activity. Handles high volume of transactions, prepares account reconciliations and has significant involvement in the monthly GL closing process. Specific emphasis based on assigned area of the financial statements. Provides support for the annual audit.

Responsibilities:

• General Ledger functions (i.e., journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis)
• Perform account reconciliations and analysis as assigned (area of focus may include: Inventory, Fixed Assets, Miscellaneous Cash, Accounts Receivable, Pharmacy)
• Assist the Director of Accounting and the Manager of Accounting in preparation of the year-end and interim audits.
• Learn the Lawson financial systems, including G/L and A/P.

Credentials and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree – field of study, Accounting or directly related field.
• Two (2) years previous accounting experience.
