About This Position

Position Summary

The Delivery Director, UKG (“Delivery Lead”) will support in many different areas of client service all primarily (but not exclusively) through the lens of client delivery. These areas include:

  • Direct role in defining, managing and maintaining the Project Manager standards and the project approach/technical method(s)(i.e., UKG Implementations) to successfully deliver on client engagements.
  • Success equates to: meeting or exceeding client expectations on(a)project deliverables,(b)quality of the deliverables,(c)value of the partnership,(d)at or under the project budget and(e)scheduled calendar time, and in accordance with Connors Group’s core values.
  • Direct role in managing the UKG resource delivery capacity and project assignment. This includes internal and external recruiting, staffing forecast/requirements for each project level and, staffing complement by sold client engagement
  • When requested by Connors Group leadership:
  • Direct, and indirect project leadership and time.
  • Direct support in the sales cycle(i.e., project scoping, cost estimates, RFP support, prospect presentations, client partnerships).
  • Direct and indirect support with the strategic planning of Connors Group.
  • The Delivery Lead is instrumental in the success of client delivery and presentation, account management, client satisfaction, as well as internal business development and growth.
  • The Delivery Lead assumes accountability for defining how to deliver the requirements documented in the agreed upon SOWs. Identifies, communicates and collaborates with Connors Group’s Operations Excellence and Training. Leads on delivering training needs/content and supporting company growth through active participation on strategic initiatives.

Delivery Management

  • Serves as leader for multiple projects or a dedicated project dependent on roles and responsibilities needed to support the project
  • Leads multiple projects and large engagements. Earns the respect of clients as an expert consultant and trusted advisor. Models the standard for effective communication to all stakeholders
  • Responsible for understanding a project’s deliverables and statement of work and articulating those details to the project team. Responsible for completing the project to our client’s satisfaction and meeting project metrics, on time and within budget
  • Provides Account Management for existing client project through establishing trusted advisor relationships, proactively identifying additional business opportunities and development of project proposals and presentations
  • Develops a clear understanding of each client’s business and how our services can improve operations. Guides teams to focus on what matters and develops meaningful business relationships with clients
  • Effectively acts as a technical expert and technical leader. Leads complex analytical work and write comprehensive client reports and internal standard practices
  • Presentsdeliverables to client and provideschange managementexpertiseintheimplementation of solution
  • Monitors developmentand management of project budgets anddeadlines.Identifiesand mitigatesengagement riskswith the Account Manager and Project Manager
  • Ability to quickly understand several client industries, environments, and ability to create strategies and implementation plans that align with client and project goals

Practice Development

  • Business development contributions outside of core client delivery focus and active participation on internal strategic initiatives
  • Supports review and creation of project proposals with Delivery Lead and Account Management
  • Performs research into new technologies that provide efficiency gains for our clients’ businesses
  • Actively participates in trade shows, networking, and recruiting opportunities
  • Develops delivery management tools for scalability and growth
  • Partners with leadership and cross functional teams to develop staffing projections and fulfill project demand

Business Administration

  • Responsible for self-time management, reporting progress of deliverables to direct project lead and to stay productive whether onsite with a team, by yourself or working remotely
  • Develops comprehensive presentations at the appropriate level of detail
  • Demonstrates the role of professional consultant and the technical skills required to be an effective Connors Group UKG subject matter expert
  • Demonstrates initiative, responsibility, and analytical thinking
  • Effectively writes technical summaries to explain your work
  • Demonstrates strong data analysis abilities and other data mining techniques
  • Travelsextensively (20-60%), and sometimes independently, throughout the US
  • Flexibility to work alternative hours, including evenings and weekends

Competencies:

  • Develops strong customer relationships that lead to becoming a trusted adviser for our customers’ executives and stakeholders
  • Manages multiple project plans and delivery schedules, leading project leads to successfully meeting targets
  • Ensures customer and project success by managing the completion of deliverables, schedules, customer expectations, and meeting milestones
  • Successfully manages a team of project managers or solution consultants and coaches them in all aspects of their job.
  • Develops KPIs and metrics to track team performance and identify coaching opportunities
  • Leads internal and external business reviews providing actionable feedback and insights
  • Demonstrates ability to manage individual and engagement-wide scope of work

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or IT Project Management or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience in a consulting role with UKG Workforce Management experience across a variety of clients and UKG Modules
  • Ability to build strong relationships with our clients
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with solid communication, interpersonal,and presentation skills
  • Competent with advanced project management principles
  • Ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments with rapidly changing demands
  • Ability to deliver challenging messaging and to drive deadlines on multiple projects.
  • Complete understanding of Project Manager standards and approach to managing project budgets, travel expense policy, and travel coordination.
  • Knowledge of change managementprinciples,ability to create influence in implementing recommended solutions.
  • Knowledge of and experience in implementing end-to-end project solutions, including industry and customer research, creating strategy and project vision, design and development of solution meeting. SOW, and associated change management practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership – with internal teams and clients, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to understand and create budgets.
  • Knowledge of performance management programs and practices.
  • Strong work ethic and capability to work independently.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Working Conditions:

This position, at times, must work in challenging, non-standard environments. This could include:

  • Time of day: Evenings (5 PM - 10 PM), overnight shifts (10 PM – 6 AM)
  • Day of week: Weekends (Saturday/Sunday)
