In this role, you will play a crucial part in the modernization and replatforming of mission-critical applications. This opportunity calls for someone with strong expertise in Java and possibly IBM Maximo, focused on migrating legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures. Your work will directly impact federal environments by ensuring that applications are efficient, secure, and dependable. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you'll translate complex requirements into practical software solutions, all while working in a fully remote capacity.Accountabilities

• Lead and support the replatforming and modernization of existing enterprise applications.
• Configure and customize IBM Maximo for effective asset management.
• Develop and maintain Maximo Business Objects (MBOs) and automation scripts.
• Integrate Maximo with external systems using REST APIs and middleware.
• Conduct analysis of existing Maximo implementations for performance improvements.
• Support data migration activities to Azure cloud storage.
• Implement cloud-native services using Azure App Services and Functions.
• Collaborate with users and engineering teams to meet mission requirements.
• Participate in testing for upgrades and modernized deployments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations and integrations.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience as a software engineer in federal environments.
• Strong IBM Maximo or Java development experience.
• Proficient in Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern frameworks.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems.
• Familiarity with SDLC best practices and DevSecOps workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear documentation.
