As a QA Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring that all manufactured products meet stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position involves conducting detailed inspections, performing tests, and analyzing data to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The QA Technician collaborates closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. By maintaining accurate documentation and reporting, the technician supports traceability and accountability throughout the manufacturing process. Ultimately, this role is essential in safeguarding the integrity of the manufacturing output and upholding the company’s reputation for quality excellence.

  • Perform routine and non-routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Conduct various tests using precision measurement tools and equipment to assess product attributes such as dimensions, functionality, and durability.
  • Document inspection results and test data accurately, maintaining detailed records for quality control and audit purposes.
  • Identify, report, and track non-conformances or defects, working with production and engineering teams to facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects by providing quality data insights and recommending process enhancements to reduce defects and improve efficiency.

Skills:

The QA Technician utilizes their technical skills daily to perform precise measurements and inspections that ensure product quality. Proficiency with measurement instruments and the ability to interpret engineering drawings enable accurate verification of product specifications. Analytical skills are essential for identifying trends in quality data and supporting root cause investigations. Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions and improvements. Additionally, organizational skills are critical for maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in quality assurance or manufacturing preferred.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with computerized quality inspection software and data entry systems.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
