POSITION SUMMARY: The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily food and beverage production and service operations at the Oxford Collection Suites. This role ensures compliance with sanitation and cleanliness standards, manages inventory and cost control measures, and supervises staff to maintain smooth service. The Food and Beverage Manager works to meet operational goals set by upper management while fostering a positive and efficient dining experience. They always provide a high level of customer service, taking time with guests to ensure every aspect of their stay exceeds expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.
Food and Beverage Management (50%):
- Supervise, train, and provide guidance to food and beverage staff in accordance with company policy, safety, and sanitation requirements
- Ensure meetings and events are set up, staffing is scheduled, and all food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Maintain employee records concerning attendance, punctuality, and performance
- Adjust staffing levels based on operational needs, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak times
- Ensure all staff maintain required certifications, such as food handlers' licenses and liquor permits
- Conduct regular staff meetings to share information, provide feedback, and address any concerns
Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their supervisor or General Manager.
Operations and Administration (30%):
- Oversee daily cleaning schedules and ensure all food-contact areas are properly sanitized.
- Assist with managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of food and beverages in accordance with safety standards
- Assist in creating annual budgets
- Monitoring of food and beverage costs and adhering to set budgets
- Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for review by the Assistant General Manager and General Manager
- Coordinate with the sales department to support catering for meeting room clients, ensuring smooth communication and service delivery
- Attend BEO meetings, communicating meeting and event needs to staff
- Creation of drink and dining menu’s as needed
Guest Relations (10%):
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction, address any issues, and resolve problems
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with guests and staff
- Ensure that satisfaction expectations with dining services and meetings/events are met
- Follow up with Hotel management with any guest recovery needs
Other (10%):
- Complete a daily activity log with pertinent shift information for co-workers and leadership team
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, including front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist with other tasks as required to support the needs of the hotel and food and beverage operations.
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts
- May be required to participate in Hotels drivers program
- Other hotel-related duties

PREFFERED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 2+ years of management experience
- Food handler’s license and liquor server permits as required by state law (or ability to obtain)
- Hospitality / hotel work experience preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and consistent attendance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and often exert up to 20 pounds of force to push, pull, carry, lift or otherwise move objects
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
- While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
- Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside in a variety of weather conditions
