About This Position
QC Due Diligence
Job Location: Onsite, Houston, TX 77057
Join us 1st of March
As Due Diligence Quality Control - you will be responsible for Auditing the Due Diligence Underwriter’s post-closing loans. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all underwriting decisions made are accurate, aligned with investor, regulatory guidelines and compliance standards.
Compliance experts with at least 3 yrs of Deep TRID experience in the last 5 years.
This position requires you to be a TRID expert-along with RESPA and other disclosures. This position is fully remote using your own equipment. Technical interview is required (TRID and other similar questions).
Employment Pathways
Full-time employment (FTE) may be offered to candidates who demonstrate the ability to contribute immediately and make a meaningful impact from day one.
Contractor Status: Candidates who meet our baseline qualifications but require onboarding support will begin as 1099 contractors. These individuals will participate in our training program and have the opportunity to prove their capabilities during an initial evaluation period. Those who are successful may be offered FTE status after 90 days.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive QC reviews of loans underwritten by Due Diligence Underwriters.
• Validate credit, compliance, collateral, and data integrity across all loan files.
• Identify and document any discrepancies, errors, or missing documentation.
• Ensure adherence to agency, investor, and internal guidelines.
• Provide clear, concise feedback to underwriters and escalate critical issues as needed.
• Collaborate with audit and compliance teams to support continuous improvement.
Requirements:
• Pervious Employment with a third-party due diligence firm, investor, or mortgage service organization.
• Minimum 5 years of due diligence underwriting within last 7 years.
• Minimum 3 years of Due Diligence QC Review within the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of agency guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), FHA/VA, and non-QM products.
• Strong knowledge of compliance with an emphasis in TRID.
• Laura Mac experience preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
