About This Position

Description:

Program: Pre-Assessment Screening & Resident Review (PASRR)

Pay: Range starts at $16.50/hour (pay is calculated based on years of related experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8am – 4pm

Job Summary & Deliverables

The Medicaid Eligibility Specialist assists Valley clients and community members with the application process for all Medicaid programs, including General Assistance and Food Stamps. The Specialist monitors all steps of the process and ensures the delivery of excellent customer service and support.

Essential Functions

  • Gathers and submits all required Medicaid-related documents for benefit determination, and follows up throughout the application process to ensure approval
  • Partners with the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) to ensure Valley clients receive application assistance from their dedicated DWS Case Worker
  • Assists Valley clients and other community members with the completion of their annual benefit reviews with DWS
  • Works with the Quality Assurance team and the Medicaid Eligibility Manager to ensure compliance with all related and applicable regulatory requirements regarding Medicaid funding
  • Collaborates with Valley councils and committees to track and report all clinical outcomes
  • Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with DWS, external payers and funding sources, community partners, and other Valley stakeholders
