About This Position

Description:

Role Summary:

The Supply Chain Associate supports daily supply chain operations by coordinating purchasing, logistics, and inventory activities to ensure materials and products are delivered on time and accurately. The role collaborates with internal teams and suppliers, tracks orders and shipments, maintains documentation and system accuracy, and supports process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost control.

Role Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Support end-to-end supply chain activities including planning, sourcing, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and transportation
  • Create, track, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of materials and products
  • Verify supplier pricing, quantities, and delivery terms to ensure accuracy and cost control
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including load tracking and delivery appointment confirmation
  • Assist with freight scheduling, carrier communication, and resolution of late, short, or damaged shipments
  • Prepare and maintain shipping and freight documentation, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor supplier and carrier performance, escalating service or delivery issues as needed
  • Partner with internal teams to align material availability with production schedules and customer demand
  • Maintain accurate system records and documentation, ensuring adherence to processes and execution accuracy
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce supply chain costs
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, business management, procurement or similar industry.
  • 1 year of experience with logistics and goods management.
  • Experience using standard software and technology such as Microsoft Suite (required)
  • Advanced computer communications, organizational and public speaking skills

Skills and Abilities:

A successful Supply Chain Associate will:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes, including procurement, transportation, and inventory coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, evaluate options, and support effective resolutions
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain software; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and related tools
  • Ability to monitor data, track performance metrics, and maintain accurate system records
  • Understanding of shipping documentation, freight terms, and basic compliance requirements
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to support process optimization and cost-saving initiatives

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role require the ability to perform work in an office and warehouse environment. The Supply Chain Associate may be required to sit or stand for extended periods, walk throughout operational areas, and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds. The role may involve frequent use of computers and other office equipment, as well as exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment within warehouse or logistics settings. The physical demands must be met with or without accommodation for an employee to be successful in performing the essential job functions of this role. This includes regular and frequent walking, listening, sitting, standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, and the ability to push or lift to 40 pounds.
