About This Position
Coordinator Performance Improvement
SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Performance Improvement (PI) Department leadership, the Coordinator of Performance Improvement is responsible for coordinating and driving progress of robust process improvement projects. Provides organizational staff support in the development, implementation and evaluation of the hospitals overall quality improvement program that includes ancillary, nursing, and medical staff departments to identify trends, prioritize and recommend improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure regulatory compliance. Works collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization. Areas of focus include but not limited to; regulatory survey readiness activities, maintaining organizational PI activity oversight, reporting and updating publicly reported organizational measures, and/or registries and related clinical outcomes, patient safety related clinical outcomes, regulatory and contracted value related clinical outcomes.
EXPERIENCE: Five or more years of experience in clinical healthcare or performance improvement. Demonstrated ability to facilitate group discussion. Demonstrated ability to manage a project from start to finish including steps to identify,design, measure, analyze, improve, control, and spread improvement.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent time management and organizational skills; proficient in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proficient in data applications, experience in data report writing preferred.Leadership qualities with exceptional oral and written communication skills; self-motivation and ability to work independently; ability to work as a team player and collaborate effectively with others. Note: Special skills may be required for assigned areas of focus.
OTHER: Attention to detail, ability to work independently as needed.
LICENSE/CERT: Required: RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri Preferred: CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality), Lean Six Sigma Certification, PMP (Project Management Professional)
EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - Health Care Related, Preferred: Bachelors - Nursing
