About This Position
Talent Acquisition Specialist
Hembree Bell Law | Austin, Texas
Most recruiting jobs feel the same:
Post the job.
Sort the resumes.
Schedule the interviews.
Hope the right person applies.
That’s not how we hire.
At Hembree Bell Law, we believe the people you hire determine everything. Culture, growth, and the experience our clients have when they walk through our doors. We’re building one of the fastest-growing family law firms in Texas, and we’re intentional about every person who joins the team. That means we don’t sit back and wait for applicants.
We go find great people. We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who treats recruiting like a strategic function, not an administrative one. You understand that great recruiting is part relationship-building, part strategy, and part persistence.
Someone who enjoys the hunt.
Someone who knows the best candidates usually aren’t applying to job postings.
Someone who is comfortable opening LinkedIn, identifying the right person, and starting the conversation.
This role is about building a great team, not just filling open seats. You’ll own recruiting end-to-end while also helping support the people and culture inside the firm.
Role split:
• 70% recruiting
• 30% HR support and employee engagement
If you’ve worked in agency recruiting or high-performance internal recruiting environments, you’ll likely feel right at home here.
What You’ll Do

• Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers and leadership to define success profiles and hiring expectations
• Manage requisitions end-to-end: intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, debriefs, offers, and close-out
• Drive disciplined hiring processes that move efficiently and result in strong hires
Source proactively
• Use LinkedIn and other sourcing tools to identify and engage passive candidates
• Build and maintain pipelines for future hiring needs
• This role is not dependent on inbound applicants
Keep searches moving
• Coordinate interviews and gather timely feedback from hiring managers
• Maintain consistent candidate communication and updates
• Anticipate and resolve bottlenecks before they stall the hiring process
Bring market intelligence
• Share recruiting insights and market trends with leadership and hiring managers
• Help the team understand where talent exists and how to attract it
Track performance
• Meet or exceed assigned hiring goals
• Monitor recruiting KPIs including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline activity, and hiring outcomes
• Ensure recruiting SLAs and performance metrics are consistently met
Support the employee experience
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and team events
• Support the HR Director with employee relations and HR initiatives
• Help maintain and improve the firm’s employment branding strategy
Who You Are
You’ll likely thrive here if you are:
• Experienced in agency recruiting or outbound sourcing
• Comfortable approaching passive candidates directly
• Organized and able to manage multiple open searches simultaneously
• Clear and professional in communication with candidates and leadership
• Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment with clear KPIs
• Someone who enjoys solving problems and removing roadblocks
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in HR or a related field or 5 equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum 3- years working experience in a talent acquisition role
- Prior knowledge of ATS experience is a requirement, within Paylocity is a plus
- Track record of autonomously driving hiring outcomes
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive total compensation package.
- Base: $75K–$80K
- Variable: $15K (Quarterly/Annual incentives)
- OTE: $90K–$95K
- Health, dental, vision insurance
- Retirement plan with company match

Why This Role Is Different
- You won’t be buried in transactional HR work.
- Your primary job is helping us find and hire exceptional people.
- But we also believe the people we hire deserve a workplace that runs well and treats them well, which is where the HR and culture work comes in.
- You’ll help shape both.
