Position Description: What Youll Do

Hands-On Engineering Experience

Jump into real electrical engineering design work from day one. Youll develop construction drawings, perform engineering calculations, and write technical specifications for renovation projects in industrial environments all under the mentorship of experienced senior engineers.

Technical Skill Building

Develop proficiency in electrical calculations including fault currents, demand load, voltage drop, conduit sizing, and heat trace. Gain exposure to industry-standard software including electrical modeling tools (SKM, EZPower, ETAP), lighting and heat trace design applications, and AutoCAD.

Field Exposure

Participate in field surveys at industrial sites to validate existing conditions and gather parameters for new designs. Learn what it means to work in a real-world heavy industrial environment.

What You Bring

Must-Have Qualifications

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
Strong communication and organizational skills
Microsoft Office proficiency
Ability to self-check work and follow guidance from senior staff

Nice to Have

AutoCAD experience (a plus, not required)
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
Prior coursework or exposure to electrical modeling software

Physical Requirements

Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering calls.
Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and technical materials.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally in-person, by phone, and via video conferencing.
Hearing ability adequate for meetings, presentations, and collaboration.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs at heights as would be necessary for a field survey in a heavy industrial environment.
May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments during site visits.
