Position Description:

The Superintendent at Thermal Concepts is responsible for overseeing and managing HVAC installation and service projects from start to finish. This role involves coordinating field operations, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Superintendent will work closely with project managers, clients, and field staff to ensure efficient and successful project execution.

Essential Duties, Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Supervise HVAC installation and service projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  2. Coordinate daily activities, manage project schedules, and allocate resources effectively.
  3. Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
  4. Lead and manage field personnel, including HVAC technicians and subcontractors.
  5. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
  6. Conduct regular meetings with the team to review project status, safety practices, and quality expectations.
  7. Ensure that all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
  8. Perform regular inspections of work sites and completed installations to verify quality and compliance.
  9. Address any defects or issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  10. Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members follow OSHA and company safety regulations.
  11. Conduct safety training and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used properly.
  12. Maintain a safe and organized work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.
  13. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding project progress and issues.
  14. Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide updates on project status.
  15. Ensure client satisfaction through professional interaction and high-quality workmanship.
  16. Manage inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring they are available and in good working condition.
  17. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary materials and equipment.
  18. Monitor project budgets and control costs to avoid overruns.
  19. Maintain accurate project records, including progress reports, safety documentation, and inspection reports.
  20. Prepare and submit project reports to the Operations Manager or Project Manager as required.
  21. Document any changes or additional work and manage change orders effectively.


Position Requirements:
Qualifications, Education & Training
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
  2. years of experience in HVAC installation or service, with a strong background in project supervision.
  3. Proven experience in managing large-scale HVAC projects and leading field teams.
  4. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation procedures, and industry standards.

  1. Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
  2. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  3. Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
  4. Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
