This high-impact leadership role sits at the intersection of payments innovation, product-led growth, and SaaS monetization, driving the expansion of embedded financial services across fast-growing SMB platforms. You will define and execute the payments strategy for key products serving trades professionals and small business owners, ensuring seamless integration of payment capabilities into the customer journey. The role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, focusing on accelerating adoption, improving monetization, and optimizing end-to-end payments performance. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, design, marketing, and finance teams to build scalable growth systems. This position requires a strong understanding of fintech ecosystems and how embedded payments drive customer value. It offers the opportunity to shape the future of payments within high-growth SaaS environments. The culture is fast-paced, data-driven, and deeply focused on product innovation and customer success.

Accountabilities:

Lead the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization of payments growth across SMB SaaS platforms, with a strong focus on product-led adoption and monetization.

  • Define and own the payments vision and roadmap, aligning embedded financial services with broader fintech and product strategy.
  • Identify and launch new embedded payment capabilities such as ACH, instant payouts, wallets, and alternative financing solutions.
  • Design and execute product-led growth initiatives to drive adoption, activation, and engagement across payments features.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to ensure seamless integration of payments into core user journeys.
  • Own key payments metrics including transaction volume, attach rate, revenue growth, churn reduction, and customer lifetime value.
  • Lead experimentation strategies across pricing, packaging, onboarding flows, and in-product monetization levers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to align lifecycle campaigns with PLG-driven payments initiatives.
  • Work with Finance and executive leadership to forecast, analyze, and report on payments performance and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor fintech trends and competitive developments to inform long-term product and payments strategy.

Requirements:
10+ years of experience in payments, fintech, SaaS strategy, or product-led growth, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven success scaling embedded payments adoption, monetization, and revenue within SaaS or SMB-focused platforms.
  • Strong expertise in product-led growth strategies and ability to translate PLG concepts into measurable execution plans.
  • Deep understanding of payments ecosystems, embedded finance, and SMB digital tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making, experimentation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with executive-level presence.
  • Experience in SMB, field services, or trades-related industries is a strong plus.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a strong focus on impact and execution.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from approximately $165,000 to $195,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
  • Equity participation and long-term incentive opportunities.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance starting on day one.
  • Flexible work options, including remote, hybrid, or in-office arrangements within the United States.
  • Generous flexible time off policy and paid holidays.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match and immediate vesting.
  • Annual wellness stipend and employee wellness programs.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
  • Opportunity to shape payments strategy across high-growth SaaS products serving millions of small businesses.
