We are seeking a Director of Medical Affairs & Practitioner Education—a strategic leader with deep clinical nutrition expertise—who will help develop and execute a premier practitioner education platform and program that delivers nuanced scientific insights, clinical relevance, and practice-changing guidance across prioritized health conditions and therapeutic categories.
The Director of Medical Affairs & Practitioner Education is responsible for the delivery of information defined by the scientific direction, structure, and strategic objectives of Blueroot Health’s practitioner-focused education initiatives. This role centers on rigorous clinical nutrition science, evidence translation, and scientifically based relevant clinical applications and advanced insights—delivering the type of practitioner resources that meaningfully influence care pathways and improved health outcomes.
You will support and advance the architecture and evolution of an advanced non-branded clinical education ecosystem, offering on-demand content such as clinical reviews, deep-dive evidence analyses, CEU programs, white papers, decision-support tools, webinars, case studies, digital modules, and condition-specific clinical protocols. Your work will ensure that Blueroot Health becomes a trusted source of unbiased, scientifically substantiated insights used by clinicians to support patient care and that help improve awareness and selection of nutritional products in patient care.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Clinical Nutrition understanding (nutrition therapies and benefits, practitioner mindsets, clinical workflows, unmet patient and practitioner needs, diagnostic support)
- Scientific rigor (credible science-based research applications, evidence synthesis, clinical interpretation, regulatory clarity)
- Educational strategy (program design, sequencing, learner engagement and effective learning methods and tools)
- Digital execution (on-demand learning, data-informed engagement models, AI-based reach and use to advance practitioner adaptation)
- Thought leadership (shaping the voice of clinical nutrition across professional audiences as well for self-care patient)
Clinical Education Strategy & Scientific Content Development
- Lead the design, development, and practitioner focused educational programs for Blueroot Health that create effective calls to action for practitioner segments.
- Create and oversee a diverse portfolio of advanced scientific content including:
- Clinical reviews, mechanistic summaries, evidence analyses
- Condition-focused care guidelines & algorithms and patient management tools
- CEU/CME modules and accredited educational programming
- Webinars, virtual summits, podcasts, and scientific videos
- White papers, blogs, case studies, and investigator spotlights
- Ensure all educational materials are substantiated, clinically relevant, and designed to support actionable nutritional interventions.
- Develop and maintain an accessible digital education platform that functions as an authoritative clinical reference for practitioners.
- Keep core scientific messaging, health-conditioning platforms, and product evidence frameworks continuously updated and aligned with emerging literature.
Clinical Insights, Education Delivery & Professional Impact
- Identify evolving practitioner needs, care gaps, and real-world clinical challenges that can be supported through advanced nutrition science.
- Translate these insights into targeted educational programming that enhances confidence in clinical nutrition decision-making.
- Deliver live and virtual presentations, professional seminars, clinical workshops, and conference lectures. Partner with leading practitioner associations, institutions and school and National conferences to deliver and measure the impact of advanced insights in nutrition sciences and product solutions.
- Apply AI-enabled digital tools, analytics models, and GEO-targeting approaches to expand practitioner reach and deepen engagement.
- Build and manage a network of clinical experts, external advisors, and KOLs who contribute to content development and speaking engagements.
- Measure and analyze practitioner utilization of educational tools to refine programming and elevate impact on clinical practice.
Collaboration Across Science, Clinical Practice & Product Teams
- Work cross-functionally with Regulatory Affairs, Sales Training, Marketing, and Product Development to ensure cohesive scientific communication.
- Provide clinical perspectives to internal partners, helping shape brand narratives, product positioning, and evidence of translation for field teams.
- Ensure all scientific communication—across branded and non-branded contexts—remain consistent, credible, and aligned with the highest standards of clinical accuracy.
- Serve as a scientific advisor for internal teams, bringing emerging research, clinical trends, and condition insights into strategic planning.
Clinical Research & Practice Integration
- Coordinate clinical case studies, investigator collaborations, and practice-based research initiatives that generate new clinical insights.
- Support development of clinical substantiation files and claims support documentation in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs.
- Design and implement CEU/CME frameworks that enhance ongoing practitioner development.
- Create ready-to-use clinician tools such as
- Clinical algorithms
- Care decision matrices
- Symptom-driven nutrient protocols
- Patient handouts and management plans
- Ensure all materials enable seamless integration of nutritional strategies into practitioner workflows.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED (KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- MS, MPH, or comparable advanced degree in nutrition, health sciences, or related field; strong clinical nutrition science expertise required.
- Extensive experience developing scientific or clinical education for healthcare professionals (dietary supplements, functional medicine, integrative medicine, or clinical wellness sectors).
- Deep understanding of practitioner workflows, clinical reasoning, and the types of evidence clinicians rely on in decision-making.
- Proven track record translating scientific data into practical educational tools, care guidance, and compelling clinical narratives.
- Experience designing and delivering CEU/CME programming or professional scientific education.
- Exceptional scientific writing and communication skills for both technical and applied clinical audiences.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms, analytics-driven professional engagement, and AI-based outreach.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly across internal functions while maintaining high scientific integrity and commercial relevance.
PREFERRED:
- Experience managing speaker bureaus, advisory boards, or scientific panels.
- Experience participating in or supporting clinical research programs.
- Proven leadership in building or scaling practitioner-education ecosystems or digital learning platforms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while maintaining focus and productivity.
- Perform repetitive tasks, including typing and data entry, and work for prolonged periods at a computer screen.
- Ability to travel occasionally for business needs, including attending meetings, trainings, or company events.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment.
