This role offers the opportunity to join a global finance organization operating in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across monthly and quarterly close cycles. Acting as a critical link between accounting operations, financial controls, and global reporting requirements, you will support both day-to-day accounting activities and strategic finance initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with international teams, exposure to US GAAP standards, and participation in system and process improvements. It is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in structured yet dynamic environments and enjoys leading both people and processes.
In this role, you will oversee key accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to global close processes while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance standards. You will also play a leadership role in guiding team performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and workflows.
- Support and manage monthly and quarterly financial close processes across balance sheet and P&L.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and key accounting workpapers (accruals, prepayments, leases, fixed assets, and capitalized software).
- Conduct monthly and quarterly flux analysis and present insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX controls, and internal accounting policies.
- Assist in SEC reporting processes and related financial disclosures.
- Develop and maintain documented accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- Lead and mentor a small accounting team, supporting goal setting, performance tracking, and professional development.
- Participate in system implementations, process optimization, and cross-functional finance projects.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned accounting professional with strong technical expertise in US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls, combined with proven leadership capabilities in managing small teams in a dynamic environment.
- Chartered Accountant preferred or MBA in Finance with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience working in multinational or US-based organizations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and/or Oracle Financial Systems.
- Solid understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of 4–5 professionals.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
