About This Position

CAPE Intern PRN

  • JOB RELATIONSHIPS
    • Responsible to the Director of Outreach and School Relations. The Department Director of the area you have been assigned.
  • DEFINITION OF POSITION
    • High school internships at Carteret Health Care offer an exciting opportunity for students to gain valuable job shadowing experience in a healthcare setting. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to observe and learn from healthcare professionals in various departments, such as nursing, radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments in the hospital. Over the course of 120 hours, you will have the chance to gain insight into the daily operations of a hospital and the different roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals.

      Please note that as an intern, you will not be involved in direct patient care or be allowed to perform any medical procedures. Your role will primarily be observational, and you will be expected to follow all hospital rules and regulations, including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.

      At the end of your internship, you may have the opportunity to reflect on your experience, discuss your observations and insights with hospital staff, and receive feedback on your performance. This internship will provide you with a valuable opportunity to explore the healthcare field and gain a better understanding of the various roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals at Carteret Health Care.
