Brand & Campaign Manager at Picklebet – Melbourne, Victoria
About This Position
Picklebet is a next generation esports, sports and racing betting platform and media brand. Australian owned & operated, we are set to become a major player, both in Australia and internationally.
The Brand & Campaign Manager is the operational architect of Picklebet’s marketing. You are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of our Above-the-Line (TV, Radio, OOH) and Digital campaigns.
You serve as the critical bridge between our Internal Design Team, our Creative Agency, and our Media Agency. Your mandate is execution excellence: ensuring that the strategy defined by the Leadership Team is translated into live market assets that are on time, on budget, and 100% compliant with Australian wagering regulations. You are a "Safe Pair of Hands" who thrives in the complexity of high-volume production.
Detailed Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Orchestration (End-to-End Delivery)
- Production Traffic Management: Manage the production timeline for major brand campaigns, overseeing the flow of hundreds of assets from Brief > Production > Approval > Dispatch.
- Material Instruction (MI) Ownership: Translate complex media plans into clear production lists for the design team. You ensure every spec, dimension, and file format is correct before work begins.
- Workflow Architecture: Own and optimize the Monday.com environment. You don't just update tasks; you build dependencies, automations, and dashboards to proactively flag bottlenecks before they impact the go-live date.
- Dynamic Asset Management: Coordinate with the Trading/Product team to ensure accurate odds, markets, and offers are populated into creative assets during high-tempo periods (e.g., Spring Racing Carnival).
Agency & Stakeholder Management
- Creative Agency Liaison: Act as the primary operational contact for our Creative Agency. You consolidate feedback from internal stakeholders (Head of UA, CMO) and filter it into clear, actionable instructions for the agency, ensuring they deliver on-brand work without "scope creep."
- Media Agency Collaboration: Work closely with media buyers to manage dispatch deadlines. When a deadline is at risk, you are the one negotiating the extension or re-prioritizing the design queue.
- Internal Bridge: Translate "Marketing Strategy" into "Design Tasks." You ensure the internal Design Team has everything they need (assets, copy, fonts) to execute without delay.
Brand & Regulatory Compliance (The "Gatekeeper")
- Regulatory Quality Assurance (QA): You are the final line of defense. You meticulously check every asset before dispatch to ensure strict adherence to Australian gambling regulations (including taglines and responsible gambling messaging).
- CAD / ClearAds Management: Manage the external approval process for TV and Radio assets. You ensure scripts and TVCs are submitted for classification well in advance of air dates to avoid media wastage.
- Brand Guardianship: Authority to reject creative work that does not meet Picklebet’s visual identity or tone of voice guidelines, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint.
Digital Asset Management (DAM) & Process Improvement
- Asset Library Ownership: Maintain a pristine Digital Asset Management system. Ensure that the latest TVCs, radio cuts, working files, and static banners are organized, tagged, and accessible to the wider business.
- Post-Campaign Analysis (PCA): Drive the operational review after every major campaign. Liaise with the Media Agency to collate performance reports and lead the internal "Retro"—identifying what broke in the process and how to fix it for the next campaign.
Budget & Resource Tracking
- Agency Scope Management: Track the Creative Agency’s billable hours/deliverables against the Statement of Work (SOW). You ensure we aren't overburning budget on unnecessary revisions.
- Resource Allocation: Monitor the capacity of the internal Design Team within Monday.com, flagging resource crunches to leadership early to allow for prioritization.
Ideal Experience & Competencies:
Experience: 4+ years in Marketing Operations, Production, or Account Management. Ideally, you have worked Agency-Side (Account Manager/Producer) or Client-Side in a regulated industry (Wagering, Alcohol, Finance).
Production Literacy: You are fluent in the language of production. You understand safe zones, audio levels, and dispatch protocols (e.g., Adstream/Peach).
The "Finisher" Mindset: You don't leave things 90% done. You obsess over the final check. You spot the typo that everyone else missed.
Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in Project Management tools (Monday.com, Asana, or Jira).
Compliance Confidence: You aren't intimidated by legal constraints; you treat compliance as an essential part of the creative puzzle.
