COORD VOLUNTEER SVCS at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center – Tampa, Florida

Position Highlights:

The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for managing volunteer resources to ensure the voluntary support requirements of the Center achieve the highest patient and staff satisfaction. This position implements recruitment and retention tools, collaborates with various departments to coordinate volunteer requests, establishes training and scheduling requirements, recognizes volunteers, and ensures that volunteer records meet all the mandatory regulatory agency requirements to include the legal aspects of volunteering, practices and theory for adult education, and HIPAA regulations.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Preferred – Certification in Volunteer Management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. as well as Microsoft Publisher, Lawson, and/or experience working in a volunteer database helpful

Responsibilities

• Coordinates volunteer orientation.
• Coordinates volunteer continuous education offerings.
• Coordinates all volunteer scheduling.
• Ensures accuracy and maintenance of volunteer database.
• Assist in the development and coordination of volunteer recognition events.
• Collaborates with supervisor in the design and implementation of the teen volunteer program.
• Other duties as assigned

Credentials and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• A minimum of three (3) years’ of equivalent experience in volunteer services, event management, human resources, public relations or related field required.
• **In lieu of Bachelor's degree may consider Associate’s degree with an additional two (2) years of experience in a related field plus the three (3) years (for a total of 5 years) experience. OR – **High School diploma with an additional four (4) years of experience in a related field plus the three (3) years (for a total of 7 years) experience may be considered

Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift, Monday- Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
