Job Description

Pay Range: $ 43.55/hr - $ 51.17/hr - $ 58.79/hr
*Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $ 51.17/hr, based on applicable experience

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Continuous Improvement Project Manager plays a strategically important role in the development and implementation of enterprise level projects. This role is responsible for applying the appropriate methods and/or approaches to identify opportunities for operational improvement through observation, interviews, advanced data analysis, or other means; work with individuals at all levels of the organization to develop and execute plans to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); and lead multidisciplinary teams through process improvement lifecycle to achieve improvements and/or desired outcomes. This position will also leverage change management methodologies to help guide, equip, and support individuals and key stakeholders as they adopt process improvement projects and the ongoing monitoring of (KPIs). Key responsibilities include overseeing the development of project requirements, identifying measurable success factors, facilitating workflow analysis and discovery, creation and maintenance of the project charter, scope, work plans, risks and issues, action items, project transition, project closure, and ongoing KPIs. Projects assigned to this position are typically medium to large and complex in nature. The Continuous Improvement Project Manager will manage multiple projects concurrently and is expected to manage issues, communications, and provide status updates to all stakeholders and the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) on a routine basis. This position will collaborate with and take direction from the Director of Continuous Improvement.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Economics, or a related field
* Experience in managing multiple, concurrent and complex projects

Desired:
* Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Economics, or a related field
* Prior experience delivering project management services in a healthcare environment
* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, organizational or other methodologies in a professional environment.
* Familiarity with health care delivery systems, including strategy, business planning, operations and financial condition

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION:
Desired:
* Project Management certification through an officially recognized institution.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be flexible and able to easily adapt to shifting priorities. Must maintain a professional demeanor. Must possess well-developed team management, project management, process design, and analytical skills. Must have interpersonal skills necessary to build effective relationships and to adequately explore complex/sensitive situations with executive management, department management, frontline staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies when planning and evaluating workflows, policies/procedures, and systems, as well as the ability to explain, teach, and present the related issues to these groups. Must have knowledge of all elements of health care delivery, including strategy, business planning, operations and financial conditions. Must be detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization. Proficient in the use of computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Visio, Project, statistical analysis software and PowerPoint. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Enloe Medical Center. Must have working knowledge of regulatory requirements including Joint Commission standards, HIPAA, Title 22 regulations, and Medicare Conditions of Participation. Must have knowledge of financial management and reporting, quality improvement processes, and human resources management. The incumbent must possess conflict management skills necessary to resolve conflict within and among departments and disciplines throughout the organization including the Physicians at large. The incumbent must have demonstrated experience in handling change management to lead projects and processes that may result in significant changes to workflow process for users, associates, physicians, and physicians’ office staffs. Must possess the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and handle problem resolutions in an effective manner
