Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will operate an electric stand-up forklift to move pallets of merchandise from delivery trailers to the receiving department, ensure accurate inventory counts, and assist with organizing and shipping materials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily forklift safety checklist and adhere to all safety procedures
  • Ensure truck wheels are chocked and dock lock is in place before entering trailers
  • Operate stand-up forklift to move pallets and other materials within the warehouse
  • Load, unload, and stack merchandise efficiently and safely
  • Verify shipments against freight bills and report damaged or misshipped items
  • Inventory materials on the work floor and provide materials to coworkers as needed
  • Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) for tracking raw and finished goods
  • Consolidate and pick products as required
  • Monitor building access and maintain security procedures

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience or training (or equivalent combination)
  • Demonstrated forklift operating experience
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with tens and hundreds
  • Ability to read simple words, sentences, and recognize patterns in numbers
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, reaching, handling, and using hands
  • Occasional walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Required vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Loud work environment
  • Safety-conscious atmosphere
