The Berkeley City Club is a historic hotel, event space, restaurant and bar, and social club. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who loves interacting with the public. In this role, you will greet members and guests via phone and email as well as in person while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

Who You Are:

  • Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Manage front desk duties, including reservations, room assignments, and handling guest inquiries.
  • Balance and reconcile the day’s financial transactions and prepare daily reports.
  • Process payments and verify the accuracy of charges and folios.
  • Ensure all guest requests and issues are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff during overnight hours.
  • Perform end-of-day procedures and set up the front desk for the next day’s operations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in hotel management software ClubEssential and AutoClerk
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
