Registered Nurse at Winter Growth Inc – Columbia, Maryland

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is ready to make a difference.

Winter Growth, a warm and welcoming local non-profit organization, is excited to invite you to join our team! This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. At Winter Growth, we believe in empowering seniors to live their best lives, and we do this by actively listening to our clients and fostering meaningful connections.

We’re on the lookout for a nurse who loves to collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure our clients’ health needs are met. In this role, you’ll be managing and supporting our cozy 31-bed assisted living program. Ideally, you’ll have strong computer skills and will be able to obtain your Assisted Living Delegating Nurse Certificate within the first three months of joining us.

**Your Responsibilities Will Include:**

1. Acting as a friendly liaison between families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our clients receive the best care possible.

2. Supervising and supporting our amazing certified nursing assistants and medication technicians.

3. Helping to maintain important medical documentation in line with state guidelines.

4. Keeping an eye on our clients for any health issues, both obvious and less visible, and letting physicians and families know when needed.

5. Ensuring the safety of clients and staff by isolating anyone who may have a contagious illness.

6. Taking charge in the event of a medical emergency and providing immediate care as needed.

7. Offering CPR and first aid on-site for clients and staff when necessary.

8. Engaging in health education for our clients and staff whenever requested.

9. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings to share insights and collaborate.

**What We’re Looking For:**

- A current Maryland RN license

- Strong computer skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledgeable on general nursing principles

- 3 years of experience.

**What We’re Offering:**

- Work hours are from Monday- Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00pm ( 40 hours per week) or, Tuesday – Friday from 8:00am to 4:00 pm (32 hours per week)
