About This Position

The Controls Engineer/Technologist 2 leads portions of design and commissioning tasks, troubleshoot complex automation issues, and contribute to maintaining project timelines and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project).
  • Proficient of a good work ethic and reliability.
  • Proficient in hardware panel design.
  • Proficient in PLC Programming.
  • Capable in general or other HMI Programming.
  • Proficient knowledge in General VFD/Servo/Drive Controller.
  • Expert in PPE and Safety Awareness.

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in individual Resourcefulness.
  • Proficient in the ability to keep a team on project schedule in house.
  • Proficient in the ability to keep a team on project schedule in field.
  • Proficient of handling customers in stressful situations and normal business.
  • Proficient in Representing our company and brands well as a representative of our company.
  • Expert in flexibility when work dates and time are needed.
  • Proficient in communication with other departments to get work done. (I.E. Shop, CAD, Engraving).

Current Hours and Starting Time

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week.
    • Overtime may be needed.
    • Currently Hybrid Work Environment- which includes some time in automotive plants.

Project Specific Knowledge: (Either Ford or GM Experience)

Ford NextGen/GVOSS

  • Proficient in system hardware design.
  • Connectivity
  • Custom Panel Design
  • Proficient in logic design.
  • Proficient in HMI design.

GM G22

  • Proficient in system hardware design.
    • Connectivity
    • Custom Panel Design
  • Proficient in logic design.
  • Proficient in HMI design.

Legacy PLC5 (Any experience in this field is a bonus)

  • Aware experience in system hardware design.
    • Connectivity
    • Custom Panel Design
  • Aware experience in logic design.
  • Aware experience in HMI design.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires travel to job sites as needed.
  • The individual must be physical capable of:
    • Climbing a two-story ladder.
    • Walking one mile within 20 minutes.
    • Carrying a laptop while moving across job sites.
    • Lifting up to 30 lbs. without difficulty.
