About This Position

Position Summary:


The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care by assessing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans. Collaborating with healthcare providers, the RN administers medications, performs procedures, educates patients, and ensures safety and compliance with clinical protocols. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Room patients promptly and assist with dressing as needed.
  • Obtain vital signs, verify medications, and document in the EMR.
  • Assist physicians with exams, procedures, and tests (e.g., EKG, spirometry, vision exams).
  • Manage nursing triage calls, confer with physicians, and document outcomes.
  • Process patient prescription requests and verify medication details.
  • Perform phlebotomy, glucose testing, and specimen collection.
  • Administer vaccines, ensure proper storage, and document VFC eligibility.
  • Scan and organize external patient records into the EMR.
  • Educate patients on medical conditions, medications, and care plans.
  • Document billable nursing services on the electronic super bill.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas and exam rooms.
  • Assist in ordering medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed.
  • Sterilize instruments and ensure proper calibration of sterilization equipment.
  • Maintain lab specimen logs and perform required controls.
  • Coordinate care, assist with scheduling, and manage patient follow-ups.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of New York.
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on compassion and empathy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Salary: $31.00 to $37.50 per hour DOE
