RDF&P is a fast-paced, team environment company looking for confident candidates to join our team. We are a custom metal fabrication shop that works on anything from structural pedestals for the semiconductor industry to handrails for local schools and colleges. We have two Oregon locations; The Forest Grove shop where this job is located and our Joseph shop. A flexible schedule is a must. Crews will be working various hours depending on workload with possible mandatory overtime when required. OSHA-compliant work boots (paid for by the employee) are required. Pre-employment drug screening applies.
A generous benefits package is available after a 90-day probationary period. These include vision, health, and dental with 90% paid by the employer. A $25,000 life insurance policy for employees only is also paid by the employer. Aflac is offered and available for employees, and we have a 401k Retirement program available with the employer matching up to 4%.

Qualifications:
- Prior work experience, 2+ years Mig welding in a metal manufacturing environment
- Certifications are highly encouraged but not required
- Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
- Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
- Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols
- Proficient in using hand tools and other production equipment as needed
- Capability to bend over, crawl underneath, crouch beside, or climb over work projects
- Ability to stand for long periods of time during the day
Duties:
- Operating equipment safely and using safe work habits
- Occasionally operating a forklift truck
- Mig welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Layout, position, align, and secure parts & assemblies according to specifications by using tape measures, straightedges, combination squares, levels, and other various measuring tools
- Perform welding duties which include welding steel components with Dual Shield Flux Core welding equipment as specified by engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions (using aluminum, cast iron, and other alloys negotiable)
- Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, grinding, or bolting component parts
- Inspect & correct welds as needed to meet D1.1 and/or product specifications
- Inspect equipment to maintain functionality; communicate equipment issues in a timely manner to avoid downtime
- Set up and operate machinery to support the fabrication of structural steel. This would include automated and manual punching, grinding, and drilling
Supervisory Responsibility:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
Physical Abilities:
The ability to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the day is a MUST
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time position Monday through Friday. Shifts vary and are chosen by the superintendent. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The pay range for this role is:
19 - 24 USD per hour(Main - Forest Grove)
