Production Assembly of Commercial Box Trucks - 2nd Shift at Marion Body Works – Shawano, Wisconsin

GENERAL SUMMARY: One or two person teams are responsible for the creation and assembling of box truck bodies. A very hands-on position where you are part of a team that builds commercial trucks that help provide services and goods throughout WI and the country.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow and read assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
• Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component(s).
• Trouble shot assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
• Keeps equipment operational.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment.
• Rotate to different work stations
• Effectively and accurately use VMI, Kanban cards, material withdrawal forms, stock, fabricated, and special-order parts so inventory counts are correct
• Complete jobs within planned hours
• Correct data entry into ERP system
• Maintain regular attendance
• Follow and practice MBW’s Safety Policies and OSHA regulations

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

• Basic experience with hand tools
• Basic math, tape measure, and computer skills
• Must be 18 years old

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Prefer manufacturing experience and welding experience
• Prefer High School Diploma or GED equivalent
